Please join the ADR Section on Monday, December 7, 2020, for a conversation with San Mateo Superior Court ADR Program Manger, Jeniffer Alcantara.
Jeniffer Alcantara, the ADR Program Manager of the San Mateo County Superior Court, will talk about the Court’s ADR program, new changes to the local rules, including informal discovery conferences and the new single direct assignment system, and other topics of interest to all attorneys who practice in the San Mateo County Superior Court.
You will receive 1 hour of General Law MCLE credit for attending this event.

Please join the ADR Section for a live webinar on Mediation Best Practices from a Mediator and Practitioner’s Perspectives with Anne Goyette and Jeffrey Windsor.
Topics will include how to prepare for the mediation, how to prepare the client for the mediation, obtaining clients’ informed consent and acknowledgement of mediation confidentiality (Evidence Code Section 1129(e), types of mediation, whether to hold joint sessions, the usefulness of opening statements, briefs, and evidence in mediation, and best practices for how to present information (powerpoints, visual presentations), what to do when mediation appears to have broken down.
Ms. Goyette has resolved hundreds of civil disputes as a full time Special Master and Mediator since 1998. Through prepared and productive negotiations, Ms. Goyette has facilitated settlements ranging from cost waivers to $35 million, primarily in multiparty complex cases involving construction, real estate, insurance and related issues. Ms. Goyette is an ADR panelist for numerous appellate, state and federal courts, serves as Special Master and Referee for more than two dozen California Superior Courts and acts as Special Master in national and statewide class actions. She enjoys the highest Top Rated Lawyer-AV® Preeminent™ Martindale Hubbell rating, Super Lawyers® distinction in Alternative Dispute Resolution and membership in National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and The San Francisco Mediation Society.
Mr. Windsor is a practicing civil litigation attorney and mediator throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Hawaii. He specializes in business, commercial, and real estate litigation, and provides advice and counsel to entrepreneurs, and growing and middle market companies. Prior to founding his firm, Mr. Windsor was an associate at firms in the Bay Area, where his practice focused on commercial, real estate, and insurance litigation.
Mr. Windsor trained as a mediator at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law. He is an alternative dispute resolution panelist, facilitator, and pro tem with the State Bar of California, Dispute Prevention and Resolution of Hawaii, and with Northern California’s superior courts and Bar Associations.
