The Business Section of the San Mateo County Bar Association invites you to a live webinar on Wednesday, June 3 at 1:00 p.m.

Kimberly Culp of Carr McClellan PC will speak about the following topic:

Ad Disclosures: FTC Best Practices for Brands & Social Media Influencers

When a Twitter or Instagram post by a celebrity mentions a popular beauty product, is it paid? When a star athlete on Facebook talks about recovering post-game with a favorite sports drink, but there are no hashtags—is it a promotion? If a YouTube star reviews new snacks and gives out a coupon code, did they receive the products for free? In this program, you will learn the best practices for counseling brand or social media influencer clients to disclose paid promotions, discounts, coupons, sweepstakes, affiliate links, free products, or anything of value in exchange for a review, post, or endorsement.

One hour of general MCLE credit will be provided.
